Privacy policy

Stoq Backups is a personal-use backup application operated by the owner of stoq.page for their own Google account.

Google data accessed

The application requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope. It uses this permission to create backup folders and encrypted files, inspect their metadata, and download those files to verify recovery. Access is limited to files created by or explicitly authorized for this application.

Purpose and storage

Google authorization tokens are stored privately on the owner's setup device and, when server uploads are enabled, on the owner's backup server. They are used only to perform authorized backup operations. Archives can contain sensitive service configuration, credentials, and authorization state; they are encrypted before upload to Google Drive. The private decryption key is kept separately from the upload server.

Sharing and use

Google processes authorization and stores encrypted backups. The owner's hosting provider processes the server workload. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train artificial-intelligence models. Backup files are not made public by this website. Stoq Backups' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion

The owner controls retention and can delete backup copies from Google Drive, local storage, and any other backup destination. Revoking the application's access in the Google Account's third-party connections stops future authorized access but does not itself delete existing backups. No automatic cloud-deletion period is currently promised.

Website visitors

These static pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, sign-in forms, or application cookies. The hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as IP addresses, for delivery and security.
